Hands For Haiti

Hello fellow bloggers(: I know it has been quite a while since I've been in touch, there's so much that I need to share with you all! I hope everyone has been doing well and are looking forward to Easter:D

So.....as most of you know, the Haitian people are experiencing great suffering this year. Over 3 million people are in need of immediate shelter and non-food assistance, and it was recently estimated that The death-toll is now to be between 250,000 and 300,000.

My mom and were talking one night, and she told me about this teenage girl who was really into crocheting hats. She got together with some of her friends, and at the end of the year, sent all of the hats they had made to people in Haiti!

I was absolutely inspired by this girl and her work for God, and so.....I would like to follow in her footsteps(:

I have set a goal to make at least 50 scarves by March 22, 2011! I know that I cannot tackle this task by myself, and so I would like to reach out to the blogging community for help and support! If you or anyone you know would like to help knit scarves with me, or make any kind of donation to my task (Hands For Haiti), it would be greatly appreciated.

Its amazing what we as a christian community can do for the world and for God!
